The AAPI community has been facing racism and violence for years. Hate crimes against Asians increased 149% according to the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino. The advertising industry is not exempt from AAPI discrimination. Showing up in the work; lack of representation is a constant issue as well as promoting the model minority myth. Kitty Tsang and other Amp members share their experiences with anti-Asian discrimination as well as hopes for the future.
