RSR Wins 2013 Pixel Award

RSR is excited to announce it has received a 2013 Pixel Award for its strategy and creative work on the Ann Taylor blog.

Established in 2006, The Pixel Awards are the cutting-edge website award, annually honoring compelling sites that have shown excellence in web design and development. Sites are submitted in 32 diverse categories and only 32 exceptional sites will win – like ours for Ann Taylor!

HOW DID WE DO IT?

We first identified long-tail non-branded searches (e.g. How to Dress for a Beach Wedding) and then developed a sound content strategy. Beyond building a beautiful website with the help of Cristina Ottolini,  we created relevant social content, infographics and blog articles designed to capture this source of traffic.

Now the blog has a top position for these keywords and search terms. In a mere few weeks, Ann Taylor blog traffic increased by 72%. The average time spent on the blog increased by 17% and pages per visit by 13%. Most importantly, the revenue contribution to Anntaylor.com increased 643%. The Ann Taylor blog now successfully ranks in the #1 position in search engine results pages for several long-tail keywords.

“Winning a Pixel Award validates what Ready Set Rocket is all about,” said Aaron Harvey, Ready Set Rocket’s co-founder and partner. “The opportunity for this initiative allowed us to step outside the box and appeal to Ann Taylor’s existing demographic while also building relevance among younger millennials. All the while driving increased revenue from Ann Taylor’s social properties via an integrated digital strategy coupled with a strong SEO focus.”
