Not too long ago, Instagram announced a major shift in its algorithm. The announcement went viral, and brands began freaking out, afraid their content wouldn’t be seen by their audiences. This led to an onslaught of “Turn on Notifications” posts from the likes of celebrities, brands and influencers. User feeds were clogged with these annoying messages, each post a slight creative variation from the last.
As a response to the change, Digital Marketing Manager Kitty Tsang compiled a list of six ways that brands can maximize Instagram content visibility for Total Retail. And no, it doesn’t include creating a “Turn on Notifications” post.
