New Hires Set the Stage for Further Growth

August 24 2015 Our Digital Agency

As Ready Set Rocket continues to expand, so does our team of makers and problem solvers. In the past several weeks, the agency has taken on three new hires to address its burgeoning creative and marketing needs. Hailing from distinguished and multi-faceted backgrounds, our new employees speak to the diversity of thought and talent that has come to set our agency apart.

Äbeer Khalique

Äbeer Khalique is an Associate Creative Director at Ready Set Rocket. In addition to helping manage the design team’s trajectory and resourcing, Äbeer facilitates and solves client-facing questions and problems. Offering experience at agencies big and small, he is already an asset to the team. First attracted by Ready Set Rocket’s body of work, Äbeer has come to find its atmosphere, culture and sense of transparency among the reasons he loves the agency. Originally from Queens, he is also a budding photographer, traveller, musician and composer. Though he has not yet put this title to use, Äbeer is a Priest in the Universal Life Church and can legally officiate weddings in New York State. He also studied design alongside Jersey Shore’s JWoww while at New York Institute of Technology (“she was actually a really cool person”).

Kate Moore

Kate Moore is an Associate Production Director at Ready Set Rocket. She is a 15-year digital veteran and has worked for clients like American Express, Barneys, Chase, TD Bank, Tom Ford and Wells Fargo. With this wealth of experience, Kate is helping manage some of the agency’s key accounts, and is also streamlining its production processes. Initially attracted by the agency’s size, agility and personality, Kate now finds its responsiveness to client requests, quality of work and camaraderie among the top reasons why she loves calling Ready Set Rocket home. When she’s not working on expanding her own skill sets on the job, you may find this New Jersey native at the beach, in the midst of a hardcore Scrabble match or indulging her DIY side with some HGTV. Always the first person to jump on stage, Kate is also the unsung queen of karaoke.

Peter Lacerenza

Peter Lacerenza is a Junior Copywriter at Ready Set Rocket. A recent graduate of Fordham University, he is getting his first taste of agency life. As an alumni of NYLON Magazine, WFUV and various NYC-based fashion and entertainment startups, he has become well-versed in voice and content development. Putting these skills to good use, Peter is streamlining clients’ social platforms and strategy, as well as addressing the agency’s growing editorial needs. In the midst of his post-grad job search, Peter was drawn by Ready Set Rocket’s proven ability to utilize its small team for big results. As the most recent hire, he has found the sense of openness that pervades both the agency’s atmosphere and ideation process as one of the major reasons he is proud to work here. Hailing from Connecticut, Peter is an aspiring novelist, a pseudo-outdoorsman, lover of history and something of a ramen philosopher.
